Dr Schwartz is excellent. A very detailed man who explains what options are. He is also a caring pet owner himself. As I found out when he shared about his cats and his love for them when they got sick. He wears a necklace with paw prints on it for each one.
He is also the best at what he does, he is thorough in his surgery and after care. I could always reach him with any concerns. His staff was so kind towards me and my dog , Toto​​​​​​​

Dr. Schwartz and his staff were very friendly and helpful. My wife and I brought our dog for a possible ACL tear and Dr. Schwartz took his time evaluating our pet and looked over his records from our vet. He is very knowledgeable and extremely thorough. He walked us through his examination and findings. He was able to give us the peace of mind that many other doctors couldn’t. Couldn’t recommend him and his team enough!​​​​​​​

Our 7 mth old puppy Max had to have surgery for a fractured femur. Dr.Schwartz is an amazing orthopedic veterinarian. He is very thorough and explains everything that you need to know in regard to the situation from the beginning to the end of the procedure and post operative care. Everyone that works there is very attentive and caring. Max is doing wonderful. The cost of the surgery was much less than I anticipated. I highly recommend VSS.​​​​​​​

The surgeon was amazing, he fixed my dogs leg. Surgery was challenging because my dog is a teacup Chihuahua and where he broke his leg, it wasn’t much bone left but nonetheless, it was a success. I would never want to come here again, but if something ever happens to any of my animals, I will definitely come back. The staff was wonderful I felt comfortable leaving my dog Max overnight. I was allowed to call throughout the night to check up on him and the staff there always answered all my questions day and night. Best surgeon ever.​​​​​​​

I was extremely skeptical at first to go through with the surgery, especially after reading all the comments on different sites online. Now 2 1/2 months later I’m very happy we decided on it. My girl couldn’t put pressure on her leg and when she did it wasn’t cooperative before the surgery. She had a torn acl and meniscus. Shes 4 1/2 yrs old and we didn’t want her to have to live like that. She is now able to walk comfortably, jumps on the gate, and even runs around right now a bit. I can see her muscles in her back leg building up again as well. I’m soooo happy!!! It was rough to see her after surgery but all worth it now. Dr Schwartz did such a great job and the staff there were so good to her when she stayed overnight. I could call and check up on her. Ok I usually don’t write up long reviews but just wanted to put whoever might be in the situation I was in a few months ago at ease.​​​​​​​

We had the best experience with Dr. Schwartz and the entire team at VSS. Our 14 year old Wheaton had a huge mass growing into her neck and our local vet recommended Dr. Schwartz. He met with us and extensively examined our girl and reviewed her prior medical history. He literally got down on the floor to her level and examined her! He explained our options in depth, listened to our concerns and helped us to make an informed decision. She had surgery and the doctor personally called and kept us informed every step of the way. She stayed one night in their care with a nurse you could call at any time. We felt very much at ease and knew our girl got the very best care. I highly recommend VSS and Dr. Schwartz.​​​​​​​
